READ ACAP'S LETTER TO QPTV RE THE 2006 LOTTERY
Who picks time slots for the grant aid programs or programs produced by staff members?
Although many producers have reported that the staff at QPTV has stated "Well, it's ACAP's fault we have a lottery" this is an outright attempt to turn people away from joining with us.
Factually, we have ALWAYS opposed the lottery and have the documentation to prove it dating back to the 1990s!

A salute to Dan Leone for coming out with information about the threat to local public access franchising in the June 2006 edition of QPTV's Program Guide. This despite earlier advice from QPTV's attorney who advised QPTV not to take a political stand because of the not-for-profit status of the station.
New facilities for QPTV will be created in the lobby of the Time Warner building on Kissena Blvd.
It looks like QPTV is in the process of evaluating its available resources based around Adobe Premier Pro. Turns out the info we were given regarding a switch to Final Cut Pro was inaccurate.
Unlike BCAT who has actually REACHED OUT to producers and invited them to give their opinions on policies, etc., QPTV'S President, Stuart Domber, still bars producers from sitting in or participating in any of the decisions regarding QPTV's rules and policies. Their "Producer Advisory Board" consists of producers appointed by QPTV who are unquestionably very nice people but unaware nor do they attempt to become aware of what producers think about anything.
